Mobile App Modifications

For this project, the team was tasked to improve one aspect of a mobile or web product. We chose the TransPennine Express mobile app. The TPE app is used to view train times and destinations, and to purchase and access digital tickets for their trains.

Process

Old Design

The team conducted research by reading user reviews, carrying out a competitor analysis and a heuristic review. The main issues identified were in the section where users access their purchased train tickets. The lack of contrast for each ticket and the abbreviations made difficult for the user distinguish each ticket and select the correct one for use.

The team developed personas for the product and created wireframes and an interactive prototype to meet their needs.

A second working prototype is being created, which uses the same functioning aspects as V1 but with a more simplistic design.
